These Terms & Conditions form the agreement between you (“the client”, “you”) and Majesty Tours (“we”, “us”, “our”), a destination management company based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. By confirming a booking or paying a deposit, you accept these terms on behalf of everyone in your party.

1. About us

Majesty Tours has been arranging private, tailor-made journeys across Sri Lanka since 2009. We act as the organiser of the tour arrangements described in your itinerary and, where relevant, as an agent for third-party suppliers such as hotels, national parks and activity operators. Our operations are conducted in accordance with the Tourism Act, No. 38 of 2005 and the regulations of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).

4. Payment

5. Changes by you

We will do our best to accommodate changes you request after booking, such as different dates, hotels or itinerary adjustments. Changes are subject to availability and to any difference in price and supplier charges. Major changes close to your arrival date may be treated as a cancellation and re-booking.

6. Changes or cancellation by us

We plan every journey carefully, but occasionally we may need to make changes. If a significant change becomes necessary before your trip, we will tell you as soon as possible and offer a suitable alternative or a refund of amounts paid for the affected arrangements. We are not liable for changes or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (see section 9).

7. Passports, visas & health

8. Conduct, safety & activities

Some activities we can arrange — including safaris, water sports, hiking and surfing — carry inherent risks. You take part in such activities at your own risk and must follow the reasonable instructions of guides and operators. We may decline to provide, or may end, any service where a client's behaviour endangers others, breaks the law, or is unreasonably disruptive, without refund.

9. Force majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where this is caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These include, but are not limited to, war or civil unrest, terrorism, epidemics or pandemics, natural disasters, extreme weather, flooding, strikes, government action, border or airport closures, and disruption to transport or utilities.

10. Our liability

11. Complaints

If a problem arises during your trip, please tell your chauffeur guide or contact us immediately so we have the chance to put it right at the time. If a matter remains unresolved, please write to us within 30 days of your return and we will respond promptly.

12. Cancellation & refunds

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms & Conditions, and any dispute arising from them or from your tour, are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. The parties will first seek to resolve any dispute amicably. Failing that, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Colombo, Sri Lanka, or, where the parties agree in writing, referred to arbitration under the Arbitration Act, No. 11 of 1995.
